Art Lande has a knowledge and command of baseball. He's a sports official, plays the game, takes his own stats and knows nearly all that goes on in a season. In 2005, he planned an eleven game baseball road trip from Colorado through the mid-west, the northeast and back; taking in and writing about the games, the players, the season, the culture, the managers, the teams, their fans, the home towns, stadiums and even the hot dogs. He shares his writings through this series.

Although several friends joined Art for a game or two along the way, fellow fans and good friends, Nicole Coleman and Jayn Pettingill were there for every mile of the trip.
